There are piles of books to read, a firepit to sit around, plus wood burning and gas heaters inside, nearby stream to fish in, fabulous roads to cycle on, nearby Snowy River to swim in, an hours drive from Thredbo for skiing or walking to the top of Australia’s highest mountain, and a great place to totally get away from noise and people! You may sight a few kangaroos and wallabies, grazing sheep and cattle and perhaps an echidna and many birds. The property has been the wellspring for much creative output with musicians, writers, artists and filmmakers. It is a place to calmly detox and enjoy the sound of silence without distraction of tv. It is for those who enjoy vast open raw landscapes, authentic vernacular architecture, the luxury of piles of great books, and endless starry nights...
